Did you know that psychological safety is not only key to innovation but to wellbeing as well? This workshop will explore how psychological safety is key to enhancing wellbeing in organizations and teams.

This session aims to provide a balanced understanding of frameworks and interventions supported by empirical research. Key topics include:



Understanding Wellbeing: different frameworks.

Promoting Mental Wellbeing: Concentrate on the significance of mental health within organizations. 

Psychological Safety: from serendipity to a robust framework

Perceptions of wellbeing: the role of stigma

Psychological safety and feeling uncomfortable to speak up

Discover practical strategies that contribute to a positive and psychologically safe workplace culture, promoting the mental health and resilience of the entire organization.

 The workshop will give you the opportunity to gain insights and apply these to your context via interactive discussions and action planning.

Short bio about the lecturer(s)

Eva Geluk, PHD candidate, is a senior researcher and project leader at Antwerp Management School in the field of mental health in the workplace. She develops and leads research programs in the field of mental health in the workplace with a special interest in stress management, long-term stress-related illness (prevention and return to work), engagement/engagement and resilience. She is a member of the research team of "Next Generation Work".

Previously she was responsible for the knowledge center sustainable entrepreneurship at Antwerp Management School which she developed in a period of 7 years into a leading center with 2 chairs, supported by a team of researchers, with both national and international reputation, in collaboration with various partners from the profit, public and non profit sector. She also led international networks on the topics of responsible management education and sustainability.

Before joining Antwerp Management School, Eva worked internationally for 9 years on an advisory and consultancy basis for large organizations and multinationals. Her experience enables her to take a broad look at the complex challenges companies face today and to create a win-win in the field of applied research in collaboration.

Griet Peeraer PhD is professor at Antwerp Management School, mainly involved in teaching and coaching, both on an individual and group level. She obtained a PhD in Medical Sciences and Master’s degrees in the fields of psychological and social sciences (Social & Cultural Anthropology and Cultural Studies). 

Griet Peeraer has actively been working in different contexts, from multinationals to government, healthcare and education, as both teacher and coach. She is trained in ‘seeing white lines between people’, meaning that she is able to detect (hindering and outcome improving) patterns in organizations. She is an expert in working with human/relation skills such as empathy, curiosity, … and always keeps the end (the outcomes of the organization) in mind. Her strength lies in combining ‘giving information’ with action learning, creating a positive learning climate and guiding people towards improving their skills. Her experience in the field makes Griet Peeraer know what she is talking about.

As a board member at VAGGA (a specialized center for outpatient psychiatric healthcare), AZTurnhout, CAW and ASATT, she is personally invested in improving wellbeing through organizational change.
